Women’s Cycling

We are currently working on a schedule of cycling events designed by and for women. Want to contribute? We’d love to hear your ideas. Email our women’s representative Sarah Bucknall

Or take our short survey to share your ideas on women friendly rides

There are a number of women’s rides now scheduled on our Club Calendar. Non-club members welcome to join too. We suggest you consider joining the club after a few rides – which gives you the opportunity to try it out before committing to membership.

British Cycling’s Breeze is the biggest programme ever to get more women into riding bikes for fun. The Breeze network of women-only rides is all about remembering what fun it is to ride a bike with friends.  Organised by female British Cycling Breeze champions, the free rides are on local, accessible routes and in small friendly groups. The champions will take the ladies on a fabulous journey where they can enjoy the fun, freedom and fresh air of a bike ride.

Rides are taking place all year round and are ideal for women and mums who are looking to get back on a bike and make new friends. Most rides take place on Sunday mornings and are on quiet country lanes or metalled cycle tracks in the Forest.

It has never been easier to get back on a bike as the Breeze network offers some great information, advice and support on a wide range of topics including access to cycle hire, someone to ride with and safe routes in their local area.

Breeze is part of British Cycling’s programme of free events, activities, information and support designed to help and inspire people of all ages and abilities to get back on their bikes.

To join a Breeze bike ride in your local area, register at breezebikerides.com or contact the Breeze network at British Cycling on 0161 274 2117 .
