Ride Report 29/01/2012
At the Fountain on Sunday the women out numbered men with the 3 WAG
regulars and 2 new lady members on the MTB ride. John lead the MTB
riders Antony and Steve (not on x bike as the “all fire roads” promise
was not out to be broken), and new members Kim, Mark and friend Jane

5 out on the long(ish) ride, myself, John L, Simon Mac and the Streatham brothers, Jason and Jamie (nice to meet you guys!).
We headed out through Lydbrook then onto Goodrich, Llangarron, Little Dewchurch over the river to Fownhope, where Jason & Jamie continued on to Ross to get home in time for the footie. Three left, then up the nasty little climb through Capler Wood (had to be at least 25% in places).Over to Pontshill where we then headed upto Ruardean via the Deep Dean climb.
I left John & Simon at Ruardean to head home, they continued over to Lydbrook then back to Parkend. 53ish miles, very windy in places, one puncture and a few nasty little climbs. Good ride!!
Three road rides out today; I took the short ride with a coffee stop at Goodrich Castle on the way home, Emily Ravenhill took the ‘WAGs’, and Antony Pollard led the longer ride – last seen heading for Hereford. Windy day, but sunny and not too cold.
