Becoming a member of the RDFCC

You can now join the RDFCC securely online via the British Cycling website.
This provides a convenient paperless method of instantly joining the club.

Members Benefits

1. Club Rides & Events

Rides are provided for Club Members every Sunday, check the Calendar page for more info.

Club events include a full Time Trial Club Events calendar throughout the spring and summer, two Audax events in May and an Under 18s MTB Race Series.

We hold an annual Open 25 Time Trial event, this has been held in late March and club members usually ride for free. For 2016 there will be a return to Cyclocross racing in the Forest with the club hosting a round of the Western League series.

RDFCC also assist and advise on the Wild Boar Chase which is organised by the Forest of Dean Lions Club.

2. Third Party Insurance

The RDFCC are affiliated with a number of national cycling organisations who provide a range of basic insurance cover. For further details please visit:

BRITISH CYCLING are offering FREE and Discounted Memberships (new British Cycling and RDFCC members only) – please contact Steve Beal for details.

Cyclists’ Touring Club CTC are also offering a Discounted Afiliated Membership to club members – please contact Steve Beal for details.

RDFCC affiliation with Cycling Time Trials provides riders with basic insurance at RDFCC club time trials (it is not possible to ride our club time trials without being a member of the RDFCC or another affiliated club). RDFCC membership will also allow you to ride the club time trials of other clubs who are also affiliated (e.g. Ross & District CC and Newport Pheonix), as well as Open CTT events.

3. Discounted Club Kit

RDFCC currently purchase club kit from Champion System UK. The kit is subsidised by the club to make the price more reasonable and promote the club on rides and at events.

Please note the RDFCC financial calendar runs from August to August. Memberships expire on August 31st and therefore club membership renewals are due in September. New members who join in June/July will have their membership carried over to the next financial year.
