Ladies and gents as members of the Royal Dean Forest Cycling Club we hold data about you in the form of the personal details you fill in when you join the Club either through British Cycling website or by paper application sent to the membership secretary.
As a Club we manage our membership through the British Cycling Club Manager facility on their website. This is GPDR compliant.
All paper memberships are manually added to the British Cycling data base under the Club Manager function that we use.
All paper membership forms were previously saved. These have now been shredded. All expired members of the club on the British Cycling Website have now been deleted. Should they wish to rejoin they will need to re-affiliate with the club via the BC website.
In addition to the details above, we also send out a monthly newsletter via email. Under the GDPR guidelines it is acceptable for us to assume as you have paid up to be a member of a club that you are interested in receiving the monthly newsletter. We are not required to ask you all to reply to an email like the businesses are doing.
However, if you do not want to receive the email newsletter please let us know and we will remove you from the mailing list.
Should you have any questions or queries on this matter please pose them to any committee member or on the FaceBook group and we will endeavour to research and answer them.
