Bianchi Oetzi 9800 XL Mountain Bike
2004 model (just over 2 and a half years old), 21" (53cms) Tripple Butted Aluminium frame,
Manitou Skareb Platinum (80mm) Forks, full 2004 Shimano XTR groupset (gears, disc brakes, Integrated paddle shifter/levers,
Chainset/BB & wheels), Deda Elimenti stem, Cane Creek integrated A headset, Bianchi Scandium/Alu bars and seatpost.
Extremely rare - one of only 3 or 4 in the UK. Full World-Cup spec, race ready XC/Enduro
bike in Bianchi race team colour (Celeste/Graphite). I've ridden the bike in World Cup/European Cup races and successfully on the
National and Welsh/Midlands MTB race scene - so beleive me it's a very fast bike!
Just 3 MTB seasons on/off use (ie. alternating with a full-suspension bike when course
suits that better)... frame in very good condition, forks in virtually new condition (very recently had full service and rebuild
with brand new steerer/crown/stanchions. XTR chainset, Rear mech, Disc Brakes, and Front mech (nearly new) all in very good condition.
However, the gear/brake paddle shifters, bottom bracket and freehub are worn and will need replacing in the near future -
which will be reflected in the price.
To be honest I really don't want to sell it as it is a very special bike... but
unfortunatley because of my current, University/job hunting induced financial situation, I essentially can't afford to replace
the above mentioned parts and the running costs of the bike alongside my other bike/s which need parts replacing also.
The original RRP for the bike was £3,500... in its current state it's got to be worth
over £1,000 (Frame, forks and wheels must be worth at least that on their own) but with the above mentioned parts in need of
replacement I'm open offers and negotiation from around ......
....... £850
